Choir and Music Ministry

Music is an integral part of the liturgies of our parish.  Mr. Thomas Roy has been the Director of Music at St. Robert's since September 2000.  He coordinates the music for weekly liturgies, holy days, funerals, and weddings.  He plays at all weekend masses, sometimes with other musicians, and directs the parish choir and a youth choir through the year.

The Adult Choir participates at Mass from September through May.  They rehearse every Tuesday evening from 7-9 PM and lead the congregation in song each Sunday at the 10:00 AM Mass.  For many the choir can be an avenue to making a real connection with others in the parish.  Choir members work together as a team and come to rely on one another both musically and spiritually.

Children in grades 3 and up may participate in the Youth Choir.  The Youth Choir sings during Christmas and Easter.    Prior to those holidays, there are 3 to 4 rehearsals in preparation for the Christmas or  Easter liturgies.  Children who participate in these are enthusiastic and parents and family find it very rewarding to witness their children participating in the liturgy in such a special way.
