Holy Matrimony is Christian marriage, in which the woman and man enter into a life-long union, make their vows before God and the Church, and receive the grace and blessing of God to help them fulfill their vows.
Couples should contact the Parish Office 401-232-5600 or email srbp1804@aol.com at least one year in advance before setting any dates for the ceremony or the reception. Attendance at Diocesan Marriage Preparation sessions is also a required part of the process before celebrating Matrimony.
"The matrimonial covenant, by which a man and a woman establish between themselves a partnership of the whole of life, is by its nature ordered toward the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of offspring; this covenant between baptized persons has been raised by Christ the Lord to the dignity of a sacrament." - Catechism of the Catholic Church
