I am looking forward to working with you this coming year in facilitating a Faith Formation Program that offers information, opportunities and guidance to assist young people and their families grow in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ as they travel their journey of faith.
This year the program will begin virtually on the Zoom platform using Pflaum Gospel Weeklies for all students in years 1,3,4,5,6,7 and 8. The First Communion children will be using Blessed from Dynamic Catholic. The Confirmation program is also from Pflaum that uses the weekly Gospel for preparation for the Sacrament. We have reached this decision after much prayer and consideration.
Surely you must be wondering why virtually. Children under the age of 12 will more than likely not be vaccinated by September. Therefore they will be wearing masks, as well as anyone else unvaccinated. Also, the facilities here do not have desks, only tables at which it could be problematic social distancing and keeping supplies for each child separate. There are many factors to consider including but not limited to ventilation, cleaning and limited space. If you have any questions regarding this decision please feel free to call. Of course anything could change as we approach September 13th, 2021. Faith Formation and Sacramental preparation will be happening at St. Robert Bellarmine for 2021-2022.
